a friend of my girlfriend’s is an AC (assistant camera) in the union. i guess she told him about my short, and he said he knows some DP’s that would be willing to work on my short… for free! my girlfriend’s friend called me today and told me he knows this guy who’s been working for a long time, mostly in tv. he’s shot for star trek enterprise and e-ring. i’m going to give him a call and try to set up an interview to see if he’s interested. i know it seems counter intuitive, but i’m wondering if i’ll be more nervous working with someone who is so much more experienced than i am. it could be a great learning experience though.
