pick up shots

i posted my rough cut for megan from atomfilms to look at, and she suggested i do something to create a crowd scene during the fight scene.  that’s how i originally wrote it in the script, but the warehouse location only allowed 12 people including cast and crew so i was unable to add that.  a couple other people i showed the rough cut to also mentioned the lack of an audience.

here are some options:

1 – shoot pick up shots at the location.  i have to get the location again, hire the DP again, cast extras.  i hope i won’t need insurance just for pick up shots.

2 – add a fake crowd using computer effects.  this could be very time consuming and might look fake.

3 – just add audio of a crowd.

i’m going to watch my rough cut again and figure out where i would put the crowd shots, how many shots i need, how i’d compose them, etc.
