concept art to finished product

last summer i did some concept art for an upcoming web series called the resistance. i noticed how some of my designs made it into their trailer. below are some pictures of my original art along with screen grabs from the trailer.

motorcycle

i’ve been working on a motorcycle design. i had the basic silhouette and did 2 variations of it, and then did several designs of each. i realized that the A designs , and decided to go with a combination of B2 and B3.

i started with this old sketch of a tank.

then i did a very basic model to get the basic perspective using the free maya personal learning edition.

i imported a screenshot of that into photoshop and started drawing and painting.

here’s a costume design of the suit for the main bad guy in the upcoming web series the resistance. they wanted a nice fitted suit that looked slightly futuristic.

i started with the sketch on the left of this skater girl and it turned into the drawing of the guitarist on the right. i think that’s due to me playing rock band 2.

i wasn’t sure which color palette i should go with for this illustration of wizard vs dragon.

i showed some friends and there was slightly more support for the one with the blue flame.
